Kaleidoscope Park

Q&A with Shawn Jackson

Meet Shawn Jackson, Kaleidoscope Park’s new Executive Director. In this Q&A, learn more about her background, the activations and programming you can expect to find at Kaleidoscope Park, and how you or your company can get involved with supporting the Park.

Can you tell us a little about your background and prior experience before joining the Kaleidoscope Park team?

Sure! Before joining the Kaleidoscope Park team, I spent 11 and a half years at the Dallas Arboretum, where my most recent role was as Chief Operating Officer. As COO, I worked closely with stakeholders like the City of Dallas, the Dallas Parks & Recreation Board, and the Dallas Arboretum Board of Directors.

What excites you the most about your new role?

What excites me most is the opportunity to see the joy on people’s faces when they visit the Park and experience all the activities and the effort our team has poured into this project.

What can HALL Park office tenants and visitors expect from Kaleidoscope Park once it opens later this year?

Along with our Grand Opening celebration in early October, tenants and visitors can look forward to fun holiday programming. As we move into 2025, they’ll also be able to enjoy health and fitness programs, the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market every Saturday, and concerts in the Park.

How do you envision HALL Park office tenants utilizing Kaleidoscope Park in their daily routines? Are there specific areas or amenities in the Park designed with office tenants in mind?

HALL Park office tenants can use Kaleidoscope Park as both a place to work and play. Our two Technology Terraces, equipped with Wi-Fi and digital screens, will be the perfect spaces for tenants to be productive while enjoying nature. There will be so many wonderful programs in the park you won’t want to leave!

Are there opportunities for HALL Park tenants to utilize Kaleidoscope Park for their own events and meetings?

Absolutely! Tenants are always welcome to use the Park for meetings. We’ll have more details soon on how tenants can host their own private events at the Park. Keep an eye on the website for more information on this as we get closer to the opening.

How can HALL Park office tenants get involved with – and support – Kaleidoscope Park?

HALL Park office tenants can become Friends of the Park by joining at https://kaleidoscopepark.org/support/friends-of-kaleidoscope-park/. Members get access to special events and perks, including for our Grand Opening celebration in October! We also have many other opportunities to get involved in a bigger way we would love to come meet with you and your team to share more information.

If your company is interested in learning more about naming opportunities at the Park, please reach out to our Director of Development and Relationships Laura Madden at lmadden@kaleidoscopepark.org.

What benefits do you think the Kaleidoscope Park will bring to HALL Park and the broader community?

Kaleidoscope Park will bring much-needed green space, act as a gathering place, and foster community building. The combination of art and green space are essential for our community’s well-being, offering places for relaxation and inspiration. By integrating art, we create a vibrant, cultural hub that everyone can enjoy.

Tell us about the events, wellness programs, and activities that are planned for the community.

Baylor Scott & White Health will be our presenting sponsor for all health and wellness programs, including fitness classes and a speaker series. The Frisco Rotary Farmers Market will also be held every Saturday at the Park.

Will there be food offerings in/near the Park?

Yes! We’re currently working on providing mobile food options and offerings on the Park. HALL Park Hotel will have a great Northern Italian restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner with take-out options. And across the street is Park Plaza offering fast, casual options for guests to pick-up and enjoy.

Kaleidoscope Park will be open daily from 6 a.m. – 11 p.m. To get in touch with the Park team, email info@kaleidoscopepark.org or give us a call at 214-346-5531.
