This October, HALL Park Hotel and Kaleidoscope Park are celebrating two years as the heartbeat of HALL Park, HALL Group’s 162-acre mixed-use campus just off the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco, TX. The two opened within a week of each other in October 2024 — Kaleidoscope Park’s ribbon cutting came first, on October 5, followed by HALL Park Hotel’s first guest check-ins on October 14. On October 5, roughly 3,000 guests turned out for the grand opening of Kaleidoscope Park, according to Frisco Enterprise, a free 5.7-acre public park built in partnership with the City of Frisco. The park’s centerpiece is Janet Echelman’s Butterfly Rest Stop, a 3,400-pound fiber sculpture inspired by the monarch butterfly migrations that pass through North Texas each fall, alongside a splash pad, dog park, performance lawn, and rotating art installations.

In its first year alone, the park hosted more than 150 free public programs, according to D Magazine — including performances by the Plano Symphony Orchestra, the park’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration and Polynesian Festival, wellness classes, and community vendor markets. The 14-story property offers more than 200 rooms and suites, including 60 extended-stay suites in The Reserve with kitchenettes and park views, plus over 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space across two ballrooms and the Gallery Terrace. Guests can grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Palato Italian Kitchen and Lounge, then head up to the seventh-floor rooftop pool for views straight over Kaleidoscope Park.

Kaleidoscope Park itself is getting a $14 million expansion — roughly 1.4 more acres with a new water feature, outdoor video screen, and performance stage — also slated for 2028.
