The Frisco Rotary Farmers Market has long been a staple in the community, offering an array of fresh produce, baked goods, artisanal products and more. Starting next month, the market is gearing up for a new chapter as it relocates to HALL Park.

Managed by the Rotary Club of Frisco’s Cindy Johnson, the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market aims to support local growers and artisans through an environmental and community focused approach.

“The mission of the Rotary Club includes community economic development, and farmers markets are really positioned well for the growth of small businesses,” Johnson said. “There have been a lot of successes out of farmers markets that have moved on to more broad scale and even brick and mortar kinds of businesses and we look at this as a way to provide North Texas producers of food products as a way to market their business and to create customer loyalty and following.”

Kaleidoscope Park, a part of HALL Park and set to open this summer, will be the new site for the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market, which Johnson said she hopes will help provide a vibrant home for the artisan-focused market.

“When we were approached by Kaleidoscope Park to move over to their site once the park was built out, we saw the potential there because it had amenities that people like to see at farmers markets like a children’s playground, a dog park, or a performance venue,” Johnson said. “…Most of the successful farmers markets have a destination element to them, and we thought the time was right to make a move in that we’re hoping we’re moving to our permanent location.”

As the market transitions to its new home, the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market will be in a temporary location at HALL Park until Kaleidoscope Park opens this summer. The temporary location is at 3000 Internet Blvd, Frisco, TX 75034, across from where the Kaleidoscope Park construction is currently taking place.
“I think it’s important that folks understand that when you show up at a farmers market, you really get to know the people who are producing your food,” Johnson said. “People should take the opportunity to really come out to the market, get to know the producers that we have there and learn about the products that they’re making or growing or brewing.”

The Frisco Rotary Farmers Market 2024 season begins Saturday, April 6 and will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. until mid-December. The first 100 customers to come out to the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market grand opening on April 6 will receive a free Kaleidoscope Park market bag and eclipse viewing glasses. A total solar eclipse will take place on Monday, April 8, 2024 and will be visible in North Texas. The farmers market will also offer free glitter tattoos and a variety of children’s activities.
